12 years ago today, as a member of Grameen Bank, Ambia took a loan of Tk 5,000/- and opened a book shop. Later, took a Polliphone (Village Phone)through Grameen Bank. Encouraged by Polliphone's income, he received mobile handset servicing training through the unit office. As usual, he opened a mobile servicing center. From this, he is earning an average of Tk.4,000/- per month.

In February 2006, he decided to open an Information Center (CIC) in collaboration with Grameen Telecom and Grameenphone. Mr. Mahbub Ambia's new horizons begin, and the journey of a new business begins. Grameen Telecom's IT department provided him with various technical support, including training. He received computers and other necessary equipment from Grameenphone.

Providing internet facilities to the common people of the area through a Grameenphone EDGE connection with two computers, a web camera, a printer, a scanner, and a standby generator. It’s main business is usually video conferencing, net-to-phone, scanning, and printing. However, he has also been doing video editing and CD writing. Currently, he is earning about Tk.8,000/- per month from CIC.
